The "Broken Sink" Theory of Type 2 Diabetes — Why Your Cells Are Starving
in a Sea of Sugar

If you have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, you have likely been told a very specific story about how your body works.
The story goes like this: You ate too much sugar or too many carbs. Your body produced too much insulin.
Eventually, your cells became "resistant" to that insulin—like someone who has lived next to a loud train track for so long they no longer hear the noise.
Because your cells are "deaf" to insulin, the sugar stays in your blood, and your doctor tells you that you have to avoid sugar
forever to keep your numbers down.
It sounds logical. It sounds scientific.
But as a Naturopathic Doctor, I have to tell you: This story is incomplete. And because it’s incomplete, the "solution" you’ve
been given—perpetual restriction—is often doomed to fail.
To truly fix your blood sugar, we have to look at the "Metabolic Logic" that the mainstream system has overlooked for decades.
The Insulin Myth
The biggest misunderstanding in diabetes care is the idea that every cell in your body requires insulin to take up glucose.
This is simply not true.
In reality, the vast majority of your body’s most vital organs and systems do not require insulin to absorb sugar for energy.
This includes:
Your Brain: The most glucose-hungry organ in your body.
Your Heart: Which needs constant fuel to keep beating.
Your Kidneys: Which filter your blood 24/7.
Your Red Blood Cells: Which carry oxygen to every tissue.
Your Immune System: Which protects you from infection.
These organs have "open doors" for glucose. They can take up energy directly from your bloodstream without waiting for an insulin "key."
So, if most of your body doesn't need insulin to function, why is your blood sugar staying high?
Why is the sugar "stuck" in your blood vessels instead of powering your heart and brain?
The "Broken Sink" Analogy
To understand what is actually happening, imagine your kitchen sink is overflowing.
The mainstream approach is to focus entirely on the faucet. They tell you to turn the water (sugar) off.
If you don't put water in the sink, it stops overflowing. Your "numbers" look better on the floor.
But the reason the sink was overflowing in the first place wasn't because the faucet was on too high.
It was because the drain was clogged.
In Type 2 Diabetes, your cells are like that sink. The "drain"—the internal machinery that allows your cells to burn glucose for fuel—has become blocked.
When the drain is clogged, it doesn't matter how much or how little insulin you have.
The glucose has nowhere to go.
It backs up into your bloodstream, causing the high numbers your doctor is worried about.
But here is the tragedy: While the sugar is high in your blood, your cells are actually starving.
They are sitting in a sea of sugar, but they can't get a single drop inside to create energy.
This is why many diabetics feel chronically fatigued, mentally foggy, and physically exhausted even when their blood sugar is "high."
What is Clogging the Drain?
If we want to fix the problem, we have to stop obsessing over the faucet and start unclogging the drain.
In my practice, we look at the "Hidden Saboteurs" that create this metabolic blockage. It isn't just about what you eat.
The drain can be clogged by:
Systemic Stress: Which signals the liver to dump more sugar than the body can handle.
The "Medication Trap": Common drugs for cholesterol (statins), blood pressure, and thyroid issues can actually interfere with the glucose-burning pathways inside your cells.
Metabolic Rigidity: A state where your body has "forgotten" how to burn glucose efficiently because it has been starved of it for too long.
The Path to Restoration
My methodology is built on "forgotten" clinical research from the mid-20th century.
These studies showed that when you provide the body with the right metabolic signals and the right sequence of nutrients, you can actually unclog the drain.
When the drain is clear, your cells can finally absorb glucose again.
Your energy returns: Because your brain and heart are finally getting the fuel they’ve been starving for.
The "Afternoon Crash" disappears: Because your blood sugar stays stable naturally.
Your numbers fall: Not because you are "starving" yourself, but because your body is finally working the way it was designed to.
You don't have to live in fear of a potato or a piece of fruit. You just need a metabolism that knows what to do with them.
I am currently exploring the creation of an affordable membership program designed to help more Type 2 Diabetics "unclog the drain" without breaking the bank.
In my private practice, a single 1:1 session is $200, and for long-standing, tough cases that require a 3-month commitment, the investment is $1,500.
While that 1:1 work is powerful, I realize it’s out of reach for many people who are suffering right now.
By moving this protocol into a group membership model, I can provide the same clinical insights and metabolic restoration strategies for just $47/month.
I am looking for a small group of "Founding Members" to help me launch this program.
Because I want to personally oversee the success of every person in this first group and ensure the protocol is working perfectly for you, I am limiting this initial intake to just 30 people.
As a Founding Member, you will get:
The Clinical Restoration Protocol: The exact step-by-step roadmap to "unclog the drain" and restore your body’s natural ability to use glucose.
The "Hidden Saboteurs" Audit: We will identify the specific medications, hormones, and stressors that are currently sabotaging your progress.
The Advanced Lab Blueprint: Learn exactly which tests to ask for to reveal the nutrient deficiencies and hormonal imbalances that standard blood work misses.
Weekly "Doctor-In-The-Room" Support: Direct access to me via weekly Zoom calls to navigate your journey safely and get your specific questions answered.
The Peer-Support Community: Access to our private group where you can learn from others' successes, share what’s working, and never feel alone in the process.
Ongoing "Anytime" Access: You don't have to wait for a meeting; you can state your questions at any time and get the clarity you need to stay on track.
Metabolic Weight Loss: A natural side effect of fixing your "engine" so you can lose weight without the misery of starvation or constant hunger.
Are you ready to stop managing a decline and start restoring your life?
If you want to be notified when we open the doors to the founding group, I want to hear from you.
Send me an email with the subject line: RESTORE
Tell me:
If you feel "starved for energy" despite having high blood sugar.
How many medications you are currently taking for your health.
What it would mean to you to finally "unclog the drain" and feel like yourself again.
If enough people raise their hands, I will invite you to our first private session. Let’s fix the drain and get your energy back.
